S1 Digiscope Adapter w/SYNC

Lot of adjustment required to connect each time

Have both the S1 and B1, auto sync can’t be used if using the B1 and I understand now why. Phone plate must be used if using both products, so sync is out the window. Also, I use an otterbox defender gel case for protection on my iPhone 17 pro max, due to the weight/size of the phone the case will be trashed relatively soon. I’d recommend using a hard case with these products so the adhesive adheres better.
On my spotting scope, do I remove the outer rubber protecting the lense to mount the S1? I’m seeing videos showing both and Magview should recommend one over the other

The product is good. The customer support is inadequate. I requested a quote for 10 S1 units and received only one brief reply. I would probably order more, but they are either unable or unwilling to ship directly to Switzerland.

The magnet lining up on the phone it got out of alingment and i ended up ripping it apart and all the magnets came out

I run the magview set up on both my binos and spotter! Love how I can switch between the two all day long while out scouting or hunting. The plus to the spotting scope set up is the extra protection for your eye piece. When you are done fold it closed and throw your spotter over your shoulder and head to the next spot with no worry of anything hitting your lens. The ease of getting things lined up and dialed in is crazy simple. Can’t go wrong with this system. I use the same phone case all year long for work, daily use, and hunting seasons. The metal plate takes a beating but I know it is always there and I won’t ever forget my extra adapter or anything needed for other systems.

I waited a few weeks to write this review. I previously seen Chris Bee using it and that’s how I learned of Magview. The S1 is NEXT level. If you are just trying to catch video, pictures or simply showing your buddy’s in the passenger seat it’s a must have. Since having the S1 I have talked 2 buddy’s into buying them as well and they have not been disappointed. Outstanding product and outstanding service.

I’ve got two S1’s - one for my Kowa 88 and one for my new Kowa 55a. I could’ve just used one and switched it between the two since they use the same size eyepiece but I got lucky and got the second one as a gift. (Both Kowa’s are exceptional glass BTW). I’ve used the S1 for several years now and couldn’t be happier with it for pictures, video and a great eyepiece cover. Plus I’m able to use my own phone case with it without having to switch it out every time I want to use it, which is one of the main reasons for my purchase of it. The magnet is strong so initially it does take time to get used to lining it up correctly as the magnet grabs quickly but the MagView App helps with that with the alignment circle. Plus the strong magnet keeps the phone on tight. To top it off, they have outstanding customer service. The only potential improvement I can see is with their App. It would help to have it work with a remote Bluetooth shutter so I wouldn’t have to use the MagView App timer to prevent shaking blurriness after touching the phone to take the picture. Sometimes I miss that perfect shot waiting for the timer and the shaking to stop. Not sure of the effort required to make that happen so maybe asking too much. Anyways, thanks MagView for the great product - huge improvement on the Phone Skope product I had used before(and their annoying case).

Awsome product!

The main draw of this product for me was the ability to switch which lens I want to use on my Iphone 14. I have found that the 3x optical zoom through my swarovski atx 85 can take impressive video of mule deer even beyond a mile away. However, when I film a deer within a few hundred yards, the 3x optical zoom is way too much magnification and hard to find the deer. The Magview S1 is the only product that I know of that I can make this switch without having to take the case off the phone and making an adjustment to the case. Like many others, I appreciate not having to buy a new case each time I get a new phone. My only hesitancy before purchasing this product was the difficulty of aligning the camera with the scope which has turned out to be non issue. Once I did it a few times, it became easy. When I do misalign, it is simple to quickly slide it on the magnet to the correct alignment. My only suggestion to Magview would be to update their app to be able to lock the camera on the iphone to one or the other lens. It doesn't allow you to switch cameras (at least that I have been able to figure out). This is possible to do on the phoneskope app that I still currently use. I would definitely recommend the magview to those who have an iphone with multiple cameras. If you aren't using the 3X lens, you are missing some resolution at long distances.

I have used other products and they don’t even compare to Magview

All I wanted to do was go looking for sheep the first weekend I had this. Every time I set it up it was so fast and easy! Definitely a “buy once cry once” because I can see it lasting me through a lot of new phones.

I put at least 45 days on the MagView adapter on those two spotters. Once I had the indexing down, I was very happy with the performance, and to not have to swap phone adapters every time I run another optic was yuuge benefit. Depending on the hunt, I might use two different spotters on the same day. I miss wireless charging but not a deal breaker for such a versatile system

Got it to fit my kowa 663 with the TE-9Z 20 x 60 eyepiece which measures 1 15/16 inches across.
I had to use the thickest and thinnest adapter rings together and trim the ends of the thickest one so it could close enough to get tight but it works. I really like how thin and light the phone plate is.

Have always wanted to photograph or video while spotting wildlife and or natural scenery and the moon. Finally found the product that is universal to all smart phones without having to buy different adapter per phone. The MAGVIEW is super easy to install, had built in lens cover and is 100% made in the U.S.A. Though expensive, it is well worth the investment, bought during Black Friday special and was excellent purchase.

This is the easiest hunting product I have ever used. The S1 worked better than my long range lens on my camera, giving us the advantage we need to plan out a successful spot and stalk this elk season. Even ran across a few curious faces on our way in.

We just got done using this on our Alaskan moose hunt and got higher quality video through our spotter than our $1500 camera. No more bulky phone case, just the perfect digiscoping system. Heading out for my once-in-a-lifetime bighorn sheep hunt now. Can’t wait to capture incredible footage yet again.

Alignment is quick and simple. Love that it is completely universal.

Everything is just as described and allows the use of multiple lenses on your phone vs competitors who’s specialty cases don’t allow for other alignment. The only downside to the system is once you put the metal plate on your phone case you no longer can use wireless charging.

I really like that fact that I am not committed to one phone or case. I have it 4 stars because I think it's way over priced

Only complaint is they don’t go a little smaller on their eyepiece sizing…would be nice if it accommodated Kowa 553/554. Still beats phoneskope all around.

This is a great option for people wanting to use one case for their phone in and out of the field. My only problem was the multiple cameras on the iPhone and that it could take some time to center it on the eye piece. But once it was centered it didn't move.
